The Charter Value Added Services Support Staff provides support for the connectivity between a cable modem and a personal computer. The Value Added Services team also provides support for Charter High-Speed Security Suite and our Home Networking product.
In order to provide you with further support we have created the following self-help information.
- On the bottom right of the computer screen, double left-click on the green shield icon in the system tray. This will launch the Charter High-Speed Security Suite.
- The home page of the Security Suite will open.

- Click the Virus & Spy Protection button on the left. Then click Configure next to Scheduled Scanning.
- Select the frequency of the scan: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Also select a start time for the scan.

Note: Time increments are displayed in military time. Use the following chart to convert the time from a 24-hour clock to a 12-hour clock.

- If desired, the scan can be set to start of a period of inactivity instead of a scheduled time. Choose After computer is not used for: and select the time from the drop down menu. Click OK.
