Online Virus Scan
If you believe your computer might be infected with a virus and lacking complete or out-of-date anti-virus protection, scan your computer using the Charter Security Suite™ Online Virus Scan. The FREE scanner is available whenever you are and if a virus is found, it will even attempt to clean your machine!
To start scanning your computer now simply, click here or you may access the scanner by visiting charter.net/security.

Start Scanning
Step 1 of 4
Click here to launch the Charter Security Suite™ Online Virus Scan or direct your browser to charter.net/security and click on the "Free Virus Scan" button.
Step 2 of 4
An ActiveX insufficient rights message may appear.
Step 3 of 4
Click within the yellow "Information Bar" and click "Install This Add-on for All Users on This Computer" to continue.
Step 4 of 4
A security warning may appear. Click Install to begin the ActiveX Control.

Please be patient as scanning will take a while to complete - typically anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes.

Cleaning

It is recommended that you select Automatic cleaning.
Step 2 of 2
The Charter Security Suite™ Online Virus Scan will attempt to disinfect and clean each infected file.
Please Note: The online scanner will not be able to remove all viruses. You may need to consult a computer technician for manual removal. Charter Communications does not provide this type of service.
